Between care-giving for parents, and taking in our adult children after losing their jobs,... my little antiques project is not taking off any time soon. I have to put this all on hold until our sons get back on their feet (one has almost succeeded, and only needs to move out after taking a new job - the other is still looking). Care-giving to parents is an unexpected, and time-consuming need, and we need to devote three to four days a week to this, and fortunately we share the burden with a sibling. Funny about life how all of our plans can go astray at the last moment. In the meantime, I will feature my own personal antiques and collectible vintage pieces on this site.

New Home Treadle Sewing Machine
My grandmother gave me this New Home Treadle years ago. It has a patent date of 1887. However, by the number listed on it, this one was manufactured in 1893. It cost either $50 or $60 when new.

One of my grandmother's perfume bottles from the 1940s.

Part of my circle pins collection, all vintage. The bottom two smaller ones are clip earrings. My favorites are the aurora borealis rhinestones.
